So-Cal zinesters will converge on the outdoor plaza at The Broad for L.A. Zine Fest, celebrating D.I.Y. ethos and independent publishing. It's a FREE two day event, and we'll be there on SUNDAY with Caracol—but you may need all weekend to take it all in!

Hi everyone, Joe Sikoryak here. You may recognize me from my memoir series "When We Were Trekkies" which I just completed back in March. I've been lurking around the Comics Cafe for awhile, and finally convinced Daniel and Camille to bring me on as the store's Media Rep.

This weekend, December 14 and 15, another curated festival of independent comic artists is taking place at Homenetmen Ararat North Campus. It's been 10 years since the show was first organized and it features a fantastic collection of artists from near and far.
